What is an Executor?

An Executor is a person named in a Will who is responsible for ensuring that the instructions contained within it are carried out. While this sounds straightforward, it can be extremely challenging, stressful and time-consuming.

In addition to the Executor's numerous administrative duties and potential financial burdens, there may be grieving relatives to deal with and even pressure from beneficiaries to distribute funds as quickly as possible. It's a considerable responsibility, especially for an Executor with a large family or a demanding job.
